How to Map Multiple Destinations in Google Maps

Let Google Maps help you create an easy-to-follow set of directions for your entire day!

Step 1: Open your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and go to Google Maps

Step 2: Enter the destination (where you want to go first) in the search field and click Search Maps

The address entered will be displayed in a panel on left of your browser screen, as shown in Step 3.

Step 3: Click Directions under the displayed

Step 4: Enter your current/starting location as Point A and click Get Directions again. Now you have the first two destinations of your trip

*Note: If you want to change the route, you can click and drag the purple route line (inside the map). Moving the route line will update the directions, and allow you to avoid (or include) certain streets or areas.

Step 5: To add more destinations, click Add Destination(under Point B/initial destination address), and enter an address for Point C

*Note: Another way to add a destination is to click on any point on the purple route line, right-click and select Add Destination. A marker for Point C will show up in this spot. You can then drag the marker to another location on the map. Each time you do this, you add another destination to your route. Step 6: You can change the order of your destinations by clicking the letter next to the address to be moved, and dragging it to correct position, i.e., in the order you would like to proceed

Step 7: Finally, click Get Directions and you have planned your route for all the stops in your day!

Comments
I find it helpful to make a note about the time I expect to be at different locations (a patient's home, the agency, etc.) and I put all that into the calendar on my phone. Before I start my day, I take a quick glance to get the time-frame in my mind. By setting an expectation for myself, I find that I am more efficient and have more time in the day.
