If you haven't registered, we encourage you to do so today. This class will provide an overview of the preparatory knowledge required to ensure a successful transition from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recommends that actual agency training for the use of the new ICD-10 code set should not begin until 2013. In the meantime, the World Health Organization stressed that past experience demonstrates that countries providing preparatory education prior to the actual implementation had a smoother & more successful transition to ICD-10. This workshop will provide a practical timeline & official resources to prepare for a smooth transition to ICD-10 proficiency in time for the 2013 deadline.
