Quality Assurance Analyst for Healthcare Software

The Quality Assurance Analyst will work closely with the Development and Project Management teams to analyze business requirements and test the product intuitively. The Quality Assurance Analyst may also be called upon to assist other departments.
Position Summary:
The individual selected for this position is primarily responsible for manually testing our home healthcare agency web application. This person will also document findings in a test plan. This position assists in the testing of all aspects of the application (manual and requirements testing). Activities require writing manual functional tests and updating test cases. The position's responsibilities require independent analysis, communication and problem solving. Work is performed with some supervision and requires initiative and judgment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform functional testing independently and document the test results
- Communicate issues and testing status to QA and development team members
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
- Work directly with developers, QA Lead Analyst, project management and other stake holders in projects as assigned
Position Requirements:
- 2 years of software Quality Assurance experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with n-tier web-based application testing
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
- Cultivate and maintain positive relations with development staff
- Recognize issues (e.g. with requirements, design, implementation, etc.) and work with appropriate resources to address and resolve
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with home healthcare agency business practices
- Experience executing automated test scripts
- Broad knowledge of software development processes and web applications
- Experience writing t-SQL queries
- Knowledge of software Quality Assurance preferred practices
- Must have no fear of computers, software, or the internet
